ED 230 Children’s Literature in Diverse Classrooms This course is a foundational survey of children’s literature and focuses on extensive and intensive reading of children’s literature. Students will explore various genres, authors, illustrators, styles and movements within children’s literature as well as resources available for choosing and utilizing quality literature with young people. Course content will consider the historical development of literature for children, literary theory, and current issues and trends in children’s literature.
