CH 322 Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacology Surveys the general mechanisms underlying the effects of drug compounds on biological organ systems. Topic areas include: the investigation of different drug classes and their biological targets, the behavior of drugs within the body, drug discovery and design and the principles of cardiovascular, endocrine and neuropharmacology. Credits: 4 Prerequisite: CH 103 ; or CH 334 and BI 102 or BI 211 ; or consent of instructor Satisfactory Grading: Ineligible for the Satisfactory/No Credit grade mode.
