BI 437 Neurobiology


Introduction to fundamental concepts in neurobiology. Content includes the anatomy and physiology of neurons, the molecular basis of cell communication and the emergent properties of nervous systems. Integrated topics include animal behavior, research methods and drugs used in neurobiology research. Learning will take place using lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and discussions of outside readings. Four hours of class meetings per week.
Credits: 4
Prerequisite:  BI 315  and BI 315L  may be taken concurrently with BI 437, CH 223 , or consent of instructor.

 
Satisfactory Grading:
Ineligible for the Satisfactory/No Credit grade mode if you are a Biology major.
If you elect S/NC grading the course cannot be used to meet Biology requirements even if a grade of S is earned.
If you are in a major other than Biology you are eligible to choose the Satisfactory/No Credit grading option.
