CH 550 Biochemistry I A study of the chemistry of the individual subunits used to construct biological macromolecules and the chemical bonding within the macromolecules. Emphasis will be placed on the structures of carbohydrates, nucleic acids and proteins. Three one-hour lectures and one three-hour lab per week.
