OL 636 Data Driven Decision Making Leaders work in information-rich environments and their capacity to add value to their organizations is determined by their ability to generate, interpret, and utilize information. Survey research is a set of techniques and principles for systematically collecting, recording, analyzing, and interpreting data that can aid decision makers. The task of survey research is to provide information which reduces uncertainty in the decision-making process. Its goal is to shift the basis for decision making from intuitive information gathering to systematic and objective investigation. Credits: 3
