SPED 447 Partnerships in Special Education Examines family systems and the unique challenges and concerns faced by parents of children having disabilities. Family rights and effective advocacy are presented. Strategies for communicating and collaborating with parents, family members and other professionals are presented. Credits: 3 Prerequisite: SPED 418 /SPED 518 or consent of instructor Satisfactory Grading: Ineligible for the Satisfactory/No Credit grade mode.
