PE 176 Beginning Rock Climbing Introduction to sport climbing in an indoor climbing facility. Emphasis placed on safety, belay systems, climbing movement, training techniques, anchoring, repelling and taking responsibility for a safe climbing community. Instruction consists of skill introduction, demonstration and discussion followed by practicing new techniques and challenges. May be repeated for up to 6 credits. Credits: 2 Satisfactory Grading: Eligible for the Satisfactory/No Credit grade mode.
