CH 161 Beginning Crime Scene Photography In this class students are taught the fundamentals of using 35mm Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras and use them to document a simulated crime scene. Topics covered include shutter speeds, apertures and depth of field, ISO settings, electronic flash, and the basics of using Adobe Photoshop as applied to forensic evidence. Students also complete a special project on a topic of their own choosing. One lecture and one three hours of laboratory per week. Credits: 4 Prerequisite: Consent of instructor Corequisite: CH 161L Satisfactory Grading: Ineligible for the Satisfactory/No Credit grade mode.
