BI 331 General Microbiology

Selected topics in the science of microbiology with an emphasis on microbial structures and physiology as they impact diversity and ecology, biotechnology and diseases (bacterial, viral and protozoal). Involved lab component represents nearly half course grade.

Prerequisite: BI 211 , BI 212 , BI 213 , CH 221 , CH 222 , and CH 223
Corequisite: BI 331L
Satisfactory Grading:
Ineligible for the Satisfactory/No Credit grade mode if you are a Biology major.
If you elect S/NC grading the course cannot be used to meet Biology requirements even if a grade of S is earned.
If you are in a major other than Biology you are eligible to choose the Satisfactory/No Credit grading option.
