HE 334 Health Disparities and Social Determinants of Health This course will use a social ecological framework to provide a broad overview of health disparities in the U.S. and multi-level factors influencing those disparities including the role of social, environmental, institutional and cultural factors in impacting chronic disease, infectious disease, and health promotion. Attention will be focused on the patterned ways in which the health of different groups is embedded in the social, cultural, political, and economic contexts and arrangements of U.S. society.
