SPAN 542 Topics in 19th Century Latin American Literature In-depth study of literary works written in Latin America during the 19th Century. Special attention will be given to texts written during the wars of independence and during the formation of the new republics, as well as to literary movements including Romanticism, Realism and Naturalism.
