ED 525 Early Childhood Policy and Advocacy This course will give an overview of the policy and laws that influence early childhood education today. Students will gain insight into trends regarding topics such public pre-K, teacher qualifications/licensure, QRIS, and accreditation. Students will gain proficiency collaborating with local/state/federal agencies, understanding which agencies impact early childhood, and advocating for early childhood priorities. Students will be required to complete additional assignments, readings, and take on leadership roles within the course. Credits: 3
