ED 676 Environmental STEM Education This course examines environmental literacy, the history, goals, and impact on student learning of Environmental Education (EE), and the connections to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. Environmental STEM education in schools, programs, resources and curricula (national and local) in formal and non-formal settings are critically examined. Environmental science issues are used to develop environmental STEM education curriculum plans and materials. Field trip to a local environmental STEM education site is required. Credits: 3
