SPED 618 Introduction to Special Education An overview of the history of special education that includes a survey of disabilities focused on legal, educational, and social issues. In-depth study of the diverse students in today’s K-12 classrooms with an emphasis on preparing teacher candidates to become reflective practitioners serving diverse communities of learners from early intervention through post-secondary transition.
