GEOG 107 People, Space and Place Space and place are fundamental to human experience. Everyone makes and uses space. Everyone lives in place. However, not everyone makes or uses space in the same way or has the same access to, or power over, space. Not everyone is equally empowered to belong in place. This course explores the ways in which space and place are not only fundamental to what people do, but are also part of how social and cultural differences are produced and contested.
