BI 425 Ornithology Investigates the evolution, anatomy, physiology, ecology, diversity, behavior, and conservation of birds. Emphasizes the ecology and evolutionary relationships of birds. Laboratory will emphasize field methods and approaches to studying birds, along with observations of living and preserved specimens in both the laboratory and in the field. Three hours of lecture (or equivalent) and four hours of laboratory per week. Credits: 5 Prerequisite: BI 211 , BI 212 , and BI 213 , or BI 317 , or consent of instructor Corequisite: BI 425L
