RC 610 Internship Demonstration of clinical skills by conducting rehabilitation or mental health counseling at an external agency under the supervision of onsite personnel. Potential placement sites include state and community rehabilitation counseling agencies or social service organizations serving the rehabilitation and mental health counseling needs of diverse clients. This intensive experience requires students to immerse themselves in the setting while performing professional duties integral to counselors at the agency. The minimum requirement of 600 hours of counselor-in-training experience and within this is a minimum of 240 hours of supervised direct client contact. Repeatable to a minimum of 20 credits with a minimum of 2 terms. Credits: 1-10 Prerequisite: Acceptance to RMHC program or consent of instructor
