PSY 410 Mentoring I Student will serve as a mentor for a middle school or high school student who may be experiencing personal, social, and academic barriers. Mentors provide a positive relationship for youth to be heard and help youth in developing problem-solving skills for academic, emotional, and social growth. Students receive training on mentoring, adolescent development, and goal-setting with diverse populations. Does not apply toward a psychology major/minor. Does not apply toward a psychology major/minor. Credits: 1-4 Prerequisite: Consent of instructor
