DHHE 648 Audiology for Educators Students will explore the mechanisms of hearing and speech. Technological advances in hearing, speech development, and procedures in speech acquisition will be discussed. Topics include audiological and spoken language assessments, methods for use of oracy in the classroom, cochlear implants, hearing aids and other devices and supporting deaf and hard of hearing students with their hearing needs. Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Acceptance to DHHE Program or consent of instructor
