BI 103 General Biology: Systems of Life An exploration of the structure and function of living things. Students in this laboratory science course will practice scientific skills by examining the structure and function of different kinds of cells and exploring the diversity of ways in which cells, tissues and organs are organized to help maintain life. Three hours of lecture and one two-hour laboratory period per week. Emphasizes the anatomy and physiology of plants and animals along with a brief treatment of animal behavior. Credits: 4 Corequisite: BI 103L
