BI 561 Conservation Biology Introduction to the principles and practices of conservation biology. Topics include biodiversity, extinctions, habitat fragmentation, restoration ecology, impacts of invasive species and sustainability, among others. Emphasis placed on subjects pertinent to Oregon and temperate regions. Two 80-minute lectures plus three field trips. Credits: 4 Prerequisite: Introductory biology sequence or consent of instructor
