ED 685 The Word and the World: Supporting All Learners Through Language and Literacy Major theories of language and literacy will be examined as they apply to diverse emergent and developing readers in preschool through elementary grades. Teacher candidates learn how to administer a variety of reading assessments to guide instructional decision-making and design standards-based rationales and lesson plans that differentiate to meet all students’ unique needs. Credits: 3 Prerequisite: Admission to M.A.T. Initial Licensure Program
