MTH 492 Abstract Algebra for Middle School Teachers An introduction to abstract mathematics as a structured mathematical systems. This course will explore number sets and properties and beginning group theory with concrete applications for the elementary and middle school classroom. Two hours of lecture plus two hours of laboratory. Does not apply toward a math major/minor. Credits: 3 Prerequisite: MTH 396 with a grade of C- or better or consent of instructor
