CJ 372 Social Constructions of Race Provides an anthropological perspective on how race has been used to examine variation among humans. Topics include the development of the concept of race, the role of science in upholding and abolishing racial categories, human variation through biocultural evolution and an examination of racism as part of a system of oppression in modern day life and the criminal justice system.
